Year, make and model, if it is a car
This decides the key blank and the programming path. A 2012 Civic and a 2022 Civic are not the same job. The VIN helps but is not required.
That you can prove it is yours
Driver’s licence, lease, registration or a utility bill. We ask every single time, with no exceptions, and it is the reason you should never hire a garage door repair who does not.
